Workshops
Educational Practice
Night School
A large-scale painting workshop using botanical inks on cardboard, exploring the wet-on-wet technique to create fluid, layered compositions. Participants were encouraged to experiment with natural pigments, allowing colours to blend organically and develop expressive, spontaneous forms.

Paper Weaving
Inspired by the Thread the Loom exhibition at Ikon Gallery, this workshop explored colour, pattern, and structure through the process of interlacing paper strips. Participants created woven compositions that drew on the visual language of the exhibition, experimenting with rhythm and repetition as creative tools.

Acrylic Inks & Movement
Co-led with a classmate, this workshop explored the expressive potential of acrylic inks through a wet-on-wet approach. Participants engaged with the movement of pigment and water, allowing colours to merge and evolve into intuitive, atmospheric compositions.

Light-Based Participatory
A light-based participatory workshop centred around a sculptural structure and projection. Participants used coloured acetate to intervene in the light source, allowing shifting layers of colour to emerge and expand across the walls.

BCU Tuesdays — Memory Sculptures
A workshop inspired by Donald Locke, where students created sculptures using personal memory objects to explore identity and storytelling.

Doodle Drawings
A workshop inspired by doodle-based artworks displayed in the gallery, where students explored continuous line drawing as a playful and expressive technique. Their drawings were then used to decorate the gallery windows, transforming the space into a collaborative, evolving visual installation.
